I am grateful to have this Asian grocery store in Boulder. My favorite brands of Asian staples are here, and the vegetables always look more happy and fresh than at regular stores. I have never had trouble with service friendliness here - if anything I feel like this place gives a really authentic vibe.
How long has this incredible store been a part of Boulder? I think the lovely lady who runs the place has been there as long as I can remember - over 20 years or more? Not only a great selection of groceries, but also very fresh and well packed vegetables and freezer goods. This store to me is a Boulder landmark and "must visit" location.
FALSE PRICING - THEY JUST LOST A CUSTOMER Small box of tea says $6.29 on shelf Took item to pay, register said $8.99 I address it. The worker says I must've looked at the price for a different item. I went back to the shelf and proved it's labeled $6.29 with product name and all. The worker said that he had no explanation but didn't honor the advertised price either. I was willing to put up with smelly/unorganized store and shop frequently, but no one should put up with dishonesty and not making things right by honoring labeled pricing.
Has everything you can possibly need. I like the cheap fresh produce hidden in the back. My son loves the authentic Raman wall! Yes a wall of Raman to choose from. there's Japanese sodas and candies... Family owned and operated. They also had Chinese New Years blessing res bags to purchase. That was a score!
I used to shop at Pacific Ocean in Broomfield but since they were bought by Great Wall pricing seems to be more competitive at the Asian Market in Boulder for non-perishable items like spices, fermented products, and flavorings and it's much less of a drive. Good selection given the store is on the smaller size -- they've always had the products I was looking for. Fresh sesame balls at the checkout are good too.
