Took my daughter's VW that was slow to crank and had a bad miss for diagnostics and repair. Was told after first day that it wasn't sensors or coil packs and was probably a timing issue and would need to look deeper into the problem to evaluate. After third day I was told it needed a timing chain, given a rough estimate and that the repair timeline could be several days. I was also told to call back the next day to remind him to put a detailed estimate together.
I took the car which somehow was splattered with gray dirt, had several new chips and now has an oil leak that spotted the carport.
We now have an appointment at the dealership for the repair which I wish I had done initially.
