Used this Chinese for about 18 years.
It was the best Chinese around here by far for us.
(Everyone has slightly different tastes)
The food was always different from all the other chinese restaurants, all the others seem to be pretty much the same.
It was taken over by new owners last year and it's not quite the same now.
It is just like all the others now. The food is very nice, fresh and tasty but the chicken fried rice has about half as much chicken in it as it used to have and it costs more now. The spare ribs are those ones where the meat is tougher whereas before it fell off the bone and was softer and the sauce was much darker and more like barbecue sauce than sweet and sour.
I'll carry on using them because like i said, it's all pretty much the same everywhere now. But The Pagham Jasmine house ain't a scratch on what it was before the new owners took over. Sadly.
It was out there on it's own before.
