A fellow traveler handed us Panda King’s takeout menu and my family decided this was the perfect alternative to trying to find a place to eat (as our budget hotel doesn’t have a restaurant). Judging by the lack of Chinese characters on their menu, and how happy they were to hear from us, I guess they don’t have a lot of Chinese customers. We called them to deliver to our room and a nice lady came by in less than 30 minutes with our order.
We ordered three things and they were all delicious. Won ton soup had carrots and shrimp, but no noodles. Fried rice had beef, shrimp, chicken, and pork. Same for the chow mein, lots of meat and veggies. Portions are generous.
My advice for those who complain about bad service: be nice, especially if it is over the phone. Knowing what you want to order, and not being full of complaints, helps too. And definitely learn some Chinese, Mandarin or Cantonese.
