I went to Precision Auto and towing because someone recommended them to me. Well I needed 4 new tires and an alignment. He quoted me 986.00 and he did let my dad send a check up there to pay for the service. They seemed to be semi friendly the first day, did my tires and got me on my way in about an hour and a half.... He ordered me 4 Goodyear Assurance Tires. They seemed great the first day, the 2nd evening iHow is traveling back From Columbus, GA. And my air pressure light come on. So I stop, didn't measure my air pressure and it was down to 23 so I pumped it back up to 35 and took off again about 30 min later my light came on again... this time it was down to like 18 so I pumped it up and headed to the closest truck stop. Now it is 11pm on Sunday night, I do not have a jack in my car and I am a 44yr old lady traveling alone. So I bought a can of fix a flat and after reading all the precautions online I decided that I would use it and take it Back to precision in the morning. So after I handled my affairs the next morning I went to Precision just knowing they would help me out being that I only had the tires 2 days and had spent almost a thousand dollars with him.
So I pull up and a younger guy whom I had not seen a few days prior comes over and asked what I needed, I explained the whole situation to him, and told him about the fix a flat and how I needed them to wash out the fix a
Flat yada yada..he takes the ties off does something that takes about 4 minutes to it fills it up with air and puts it back on the car...so I asked him if he had washed the fix a flat out and again explained to him that it would mess up the TPG if it was not cleaned properly .. he walked off speaking to his boss and came back and told me that it would be fine it is not going to mess anything up. Well I asked him to please have that put in writing because I cannot afford for it to replace that later. Well when the boy came back he had a big smile on his face and told me that they would go ahead and clean the tire for me. I thought awesome! I was so grateful thanked them repeatedly. When I asked them what caused the leak thinking it was the valve stem cause that is where I heard the air coming from the night before. So the lady that worked up there asked the kid and some other guy said “a really small nail”. They said they fixed it ... so ok great! .. 6 miles later and my tire pressure light comes on.. my tire is almost flat! I get out and I hear the air hissing out loud this time and not slowing down when I move the valve stem. Thank God this morning I put the jack in my car! Cause here I was in the 3:00 sun changing a my tire on the side of the road. When I got the tire off I noticed a slit about an inch long and not even busted way open. It was
about 2 inches down from the tread on the inside of the tire.
Ok here is customer service at its best! I drive back up there and I am thinking that the boss man that handled everything just 2 days ago would make this right somehow.
So I pull up get out and the owner and the guy that piped up earlier saying it was a small nail came walking over to the car. I showed them the slit that I found and asked them how it could get on the side of a new tire cause I could not find a plug anywhere in the tire so I assumed this is where they had plugged... they kept pushing the hole more open and making it bigger saying it is a road hazard. TheyTold me I had to buy another tire, then loaded the tire back into my car and walked away. I called my dad cause I was like wth just happened.. well I was explaining to him what happened and he asked me to let him talk to the guy cause he knows that men deal with men... well when I walked up and asked this man to please talk to my dad he said “I don’t have time for that “ I was floored. He sure did have time yesterday to talk to him to tell he was explaining the price of the tires. So today I drove home on a maypop spare tire after spending almost 1,000.00 on tires from this place. When I asked the man his name he refused eventually Saying I own the place.
