Not sure where my first review went (also 5 star)...
Having bought food at the start (,middle) and end of the day, have always been amazed by the quality of this small vendors' output.
Large cuts of high quality meat, cooked throughout to perfection, and sauses and flavour that has never dissapointed.
The nicest fragrance was what got me to the counter first time around, and the positivity of the staff has kept me returning (and authentic dishes).
Of merit, and why I post this, is this is a best kept secret that needs be shared... I like good curries, and from Midland & Kalumunda to the coast, I place Freo's aquisition of Mumbai Rocks as a reason to travel.
I literally pop out of the markets to get lunch (a two minute stroll away) when visiting for the day.
Located in FOMO/ the 'new Freo shopping strip', this place is a destination worth finding and even travelling to for..
Outstanding FRIENDLY (positive) service and food that is clearly a cut above..
I'd say ignore the Indian negative comments (I am Indian as well, and of no relation to this business/don't know them at all)- clearly they have 'skin in this game' (no doubt with wonderful restaurants all around town).. as someone who has travelled Australia, finding food this good is rare.. one serve is all it takes to know this.
I can see why some people are determined to throw stones.. but doing so won't make your business better, and Mumbai Rocks seem humble enough to listen to 'how to be MORE AUTHENTIC' (! something most westerners palettes' wouldnt handle)
My missus likes mild and we always have a middle dish on our (bamboo) plate to seperate our flavours.
-and we never leave a grain of rice behind- cause we cannot do THIS at home.
Thankyou for doing this seven days a week :-)
