So as a novice in AK, know your entrance! There is one entrance that is seriously a dirt path, but I kept thinking "these roots are the steps they're talking about"- wrong. Getting to the tip was worth it, we saw a fox, but then saw steps going down and thought sure. When we got the bottom THAT entrance made it very clear you needed to exit the same entrance you came in on, lots of great maps and hints, our entrance had none of that. After considering looking for an Uber, we hiked the 2.5 miles back to our car. Just be aware, well worth the hike overall and the extra mileage was on a "path" for the most part, so death was not imminent, but taking the "non stairs " path may be!
