The Westminster is a B&B not a hotel, really well located opposite the park / close to the shops / restaurants/ pavilion.
The rooms are clean and tidy. A dated look but not tatty.
The bathroom is very basic indeed but functional
Good breakfast and staff I found helpful and chatty.
The one maddening thing is the floors creak badly and some selfish idiots above us got up 4.45am walked round endlessly/ flush the very loud toilet many times.. that is their ignorance not the hotels but the building structure didn’t help.
Mostly late retirees there and that would seem to be their market.
Apart from the floor issue decent BB / good breakfast/ staff helpful.
A solid 3.5 rating which you might expect for a BB… it’s not high end / boutique level so 4 star or more is just not a realistic rating. If you want 4* plus go stay in a more expensive place. I’m a tough but fair scorer fit decent accommodation
