This place is a great spot. I’m starting to think hole in the wall is a legitimate phrase because I didn’t expect to find a little treasure trove of a spot in this part of the town. It’s located on the right end of the plaza. When you enter in, it has this pop culture feel with some posters that mainly consists of French bulldogs. My friend and I ordered the red grain pork rice and the braised pork chop rice. You can order one item from the array of side dishes on the back to go with the braised pork chop rice combo. Both orders also came with a soup, which you can choose from the list as well. Both dishes came with either a green or black tea. The teas were slightly sweet and not overbearing. I ordered the braised cabbage, had a nice flavor of umami and overall tasty. The braised pork was definitely tender and flavorful with some thick (not too thick) brown sauce. It was great with the rice. The red grain pork was light and crispy, overall flavorful. I really liked the braised looking pickle. I was expecting a strong flavor/taste from it but it was overall nicely balanced and flavored with a hint of spice. I would come back here again to try other dishes. I am curious about the black pepper chicken as I’m used to eating that type of dish in these sorts of places. I would recommend trying this place.
