I promised to write a review for the proprietors of this fine establishment, but of course my grey matter left me forget to do it. On the way home from my son's great wedding in Clonakilty October Bank Holiday Monday '21 the bridal party including Bride & Groom returned by bus. The Groom insisted on a pint of Murphy's at Clfford's in Crookstown. There were 17 of us. A huge blackboard lunch menu greeted us at the door and we were welcomed inside by the friendly barmaid who was quite busy at 2pm serving drinks and lunches. We ordered a round of drinks and someone quickly found the Juke box. We danced around the dart board and had great refreshments and of course, Cheese & Onn Taytos. We had just ordered a second drink when the landlady presented the group with freshly made pizzas to thank us for the custom. I was astonished and really delighted and it topped off a marathon four days of celebration (as we do in Ireland!) - it was a lovely generous gesture and one that will not be forgotten (despite my late review)The size of the lunch menu and the quality of the pizzas, and the other fare I witnessed being served is good reason to take a 2 minute detour off the Kerry to Cork road just after Lissarda - take the right for Bandon and Crookstown is a quaint tiny village, where the fine people run Clifford's Bar & Restaurant. Long may they prosper. Thank you.
