They have closed, permanently, but the head chef, Michael Demagistris, will be starting at Polperro, in Red Hill, in February.

One of the , if not THE, best dining on the Peninsula.
We visited this place to see if it was OK for a large family gathering later in the year.
What we ended up having was a lunch on equal standing with any of the great eateries we have eaten at anywhere in the world.
The quality of the fresh local produce, and the way it was cooked and presented, shows the enormous level of skill and dedication of the chefs, Michael & Floyd, to their craft.
The service was impeccable. We thank Maria for this, and hope she remains a fixture of East for the duration.
Ambiance is clean, modern and uncluttered with a great view of the bay. Perfect.
East deserves every success and international recognition for what it is doing.
Needless to say we will return as often as we can, and certainly with our extended family for the intended future celebration.
Go there, even if it is out of your way, as you will be delighted you did.
