Unfortunately had and humiliating experience here. I’m normally a regular here but not after today. I went to purchase beef from the butcher and when I got into the car something smelled off. So I checked one of the beef cuts and as soon as I opened the bag the smell was awful the meat was green and rancid.
Went back to get a refund and tried to explain to the staff why I was returning all the meat and they were in complete denial. Didn’t let me talk, kept cutting me off and tried to make it look I was being a difficult customer. Kept telling me that it was suppose to smell and look this way etc.. I honestly feel like the reason they kept talking over me was because they didn’t want the other customers knowing they just sold me rancid meat. In no way was I trying to accuse the staff I just wanted to give a heads up that the meat they’re selling is not edible and they need to do something about it. I’ve had good experience with the staff in the past but it seems when you have something to say it all goes South, their attitude was rude and disrespectful.
Because of the way this was handled unfortunately I will no longer be coming back to this local asian grocery and I highly wouldn’t recommend it either. Instead I will start taking my business to the local butcher inside Sanctuary Lakes. I’ve spoken to them and compared the same cut of meat and surprise surprise, the meat isn’t suppose to smell or look green. This is a serious problem they will literally get someone killed here. Wish I took a photo of the meat for proof. Don’t buy your meat here!
