June 2022 - Finally.....made it back to Ravenglass and made sure we called in at The Byre with some local friends, who treated us to lunch. I felt I owed it to The Byre to try them again and properly!Plenty of choice on the menu and a good specials board in this spacious café with lots of outdoor as well as indoor seating. Service throughout our visit was excellent.Everything we ordered was well presented and tasty with, in my case, good thick bread and cooked beef with chutney. I didn't go for dessert but other had sherry trifle and crumble with custard. Everyone said how good it was!Plenty of parking available. Easy access too!Thanks to everyone at The Byre....a lovely lunch!!Original visit 2019 - Bit of a story! Couldn't get to try The Byre simply because it was closed on the day we tried it! An old leaflet in the cottage we were staying at then confused matters and gave the original history and opening times. We arrived expecting something a bit different!I thought, next time we are back in the area, I owed it to them to try again.
