I am not from Michigan. I googled 3 yrs., ago for a restaurant that served "chittlins" (yes, I am from the South) & this restaurant came up. It has taken me 3 yrs to finally get there. Like every other place, they were short of help and most items listed on their menu, they did not have. It was explained, that the lady that did all of the cooking was not there. Reviews that I looked at stated that they were rude, I did not encounter anyone that was rude but the lady that waited on me was not "attentive" as she should have been (trying to do several things at once) but yes, they were definitely "slow" - so if one is in a hurry, try calling in your order. Prices, like everywhere went up. I wanted ox tails and noticed that they had went from $ 12.00 to $ 22.00 ( not happening, unless I am going to get a whole, whole lot). Lucky for me, they did not have any and it was explained because no one wanted to pay that price - you damn, right. Too steep for me. I finally settled for "pepper steak. Food was good, very good but again, I am not from Michigan. What I received was beef & rice. There is a big difference. Pepper steak is sliced steak with peppers, usually, red & green & onions but I guess that that was their version of "pepper steak. Would I eat there again- yes but they need to go "food shopping. Had no turkey wings, either. And on one review, it was mentioned that the person's food was piled on top of everything, well, mine was sectioned off as it was supposed to have been. I am very picky, picky about MY Food, had it been piled together, there would have been a big problem - do not pile my food together as though one is feeding a hog. Check them out
