We went with a group of friends from work. We were having a great time. Right before we left, the DJ did not allow one of my fellow co-workers to sing. He said he shouldn’t be there, then proceeded to offend him and kick him out calling him every single racial slur you can imagine. It was beyond offensive and unnecessary- Earlier that night, I had realized I was that I was the only Latina there (and two other co-workers)… not single black person, Asian, Indian…. This isn’t a safe place. It is racist and downright gross. I am never coming back- you shouldn’t waste your time or money here, it is not safe for women or people of color.
