We came here for their well known Pepper Pork Belly Soup. While the soup was very tasty, it is quite expensive for a pot of soup at $35. We came back second time and had a fairly uncomfortable experience. Whilst the owner was very accomodating of our six people seating arrangement (The restaurant is very small), as we sat down small cockroach was on the napkin. The young waiter was called over to see it and changed the chopstick and napkin for us. Then as the evening progressed, our duck with taro came out in a hotpot, however within a few minutes of it being on our table a larger cockroach appeared and started crawling on the outside of the dish. The young waiter was called over again and this time he tried to squash the creature in front of us whilst we had other dishes on the table. The owner came over and my father advised them to do some pest controlling when restaurant is closed, however instead of apologising, she explained that the roaches come out due to the recent hot weather. We continued with our meals but will not recommend this place to anyone as they are unhygenic, food too expensive for supposedly home cooked style cuisine and the owner was impatient with us checking the bill and proceeded to show us how to work out the bill with her calculator. Very unprofessional.
