Meal out for hubbys birthday. Food, drink and service were excellent. Andy and Ellie who waited on us, were very polite, friendly and helpful. Very pleasant afternoon.

Veggie and vegan options. We decided to come here after seeing a previous review that there are veggie options here. The place itself is ok inside and the decor is basic. The tables were a little dirty and the food did take a while to come out. However, there was a good range of veggie options on the menu (which is rare for pubs) and the food was so nice I have gone with 5 stars as its very good value for money. This place is definitly worth it for the food itself. I had the vegan shepherds pie which was a bit like bubble and squeak on lentils and it was very tasty. My nan had the fish and chips and she said it was very good. My partner had the vegan chilli and he also said that it was very nice. The people working in the pub were really friendly and I am surprised it wasnt busier on a Saturday for food. If you want a decent pub meal (especially if you are veggie or vegan) without paying a fortune then I strongly recommend you visit this place.

Good service, big portions and reasonably priced food. The homemade chips in particular are very good. Very good at catering for vegans, made an alternative soup to the one that was advertised. Drinks are very cheap, most pints are under £3.
