This is the BEST place. I can’t believe I haven’t been before. Lived in the area as a child and back all the time but had never got this far down Instow.Lovely setting, lovely service.Glass of wine and a huge crab sandwich, total £17.50 - perfect lunch!Outdoor seating, with a canopy to avoid any drizzle.Dog and bicycle friendly.

Lunch at this fabulous little place is one of the highlights of every trip to North Devon. Tucked away behind the dunes of wonderful (and dog friendly) Instow beach, the friendly staff serve simply exquisite, fresh, local seafood. The oysters this year were some of the best we've tasted (and we love oysters). Epic crab sandwiches. And now licensed, with a super range of local ales and wines. Can't wait to come again.

Lovely oysters and a gourmet fish finger sandwich. Just remember to bring your own white wine! Only open in fine weather as it is basically a beach shack with outdoor seating.Update: now fully licensed!
