this place has great food. it's unpretentious and friendly with a really good, creative menu. I got the beet salad, which came in beautiful thin slices. when I asked about one of the garnishes, the chef came out with a little sample and talked to me about it. it seems like the staff here are passionate people in a really chill location. I can't wait to go back.

This is the best bar that I will ever know. Pete and Denis are like family. I really don't know how my family would've made it through covid without getting beers and nachos outdoors weekly from them no matter the weather. If I could give them more than 5 stars I eagerly would. They are the kindest people and excellent bartenders.

These people serve alcohol, but so do lots of people in similar establishments all over town. POPE stands out with their burgers: both the beef and the veggie burger are a cut above similar fare in your average bar, and reasonably priced to boot. The staff is attentive, accommodating, and friendly, too, all of which makes for a really great spot for casual evening out.
