Ladies beware!!
I took my vehicle for an oil leak repair in January. I was told the valve gasket covers were leaking and asked to pay cash. I was quoted 5 hours for the repair. The vehicle was leaking worse once I picked it up. I took it back and was told it wasn’t leaking and to come back in 2 weeks.
After two weeks, my husband looked at the engine and said it didn’t appear that the top plate had been removed and said to take it to a different mechanic. They looked over the vehicle and said we needed to have valve cover gasket’s replaced. I informed them it had been done and provided them the invoice. I was sent pictures throughout the process and was given the old parts (which were not given to me by Chuck).
I was also sent images of two different software systems showing the job only takes 2.3 hrs and not 5.
To sum up, I was charged double for the time it should have taken and he did not do the repair. Almost $600.00 later and I still had to have a second repair shop complete my repairs and stop the oil leak.
He will take advantage of you … ladies beware. Photos attached from second mechanic… this shows what he didn’t do and that he charged me double hours for the job.
