The Stag has a winning location at the eastern end of the Rundle Street. The two storey colonial era building overlooks the parklands, and the balcony view and open air can be enjoyed even during winter, thanks to ample heaters. The upstairs space can accommodate special events and live music, though the layout does limit sight-lines and effective audience capacity to about a hundred people if a large stage is in place. Downstairs, meals are served and comfy seating is provided along with an impressive range of drinks from both upstairs and downstairs bars. I can't comment on the food as I haven't eaten there for many years.
