The prices for what you get are ridiculous. €28 the cheapest option for a main course which was Chicken Curry or a Vegetarian Crepe! It's hard to understand how anyone could charge €28 for either of those but that's where we are in rip off Ireland. The food itself was fine but the steaks had a lot of fat on them and even though we asked for the steaks (3) to be cooked differently, all three came out the same, medium rare! This restaurant doesn't have any Michelin Stars but the prices would indicate they think they deserve one, they don't!This is the type of restaurant where locals with plenty of money and regulars like to be seen and are well looked after. Anyone else gets the two dodgy tables just inside the door and service of a different nature. The decor of the restaurant is dated and needs a complete makeover. There are secondhand books all over the shelves which makes it feel like your eating in a charity shop at times. My overriding feeling after spending €168 for two adults and two kids with no alcohol was that it was an enormous waste of money. My two kids said they felt uncomfortable in there but it was a special occasion so we stayed.I go to this village all the time but I will never eat in this restaurant again.
